भारतीय ज्योतिष में पंचक को अशुभ माना गया है। पंचक के दौरान कुछ विशेष काम करने की मनाही है। इसके अंतर्गत धनिष्ठा, शतभिषा, उत्तरा भाद्रपद, पूर्वा भाद्रपद व रेवती नक्षत्र आते हैं। पंचक कितने प्रकार का होता है और इसमें कौन-कौन से काम नहीं करने चाहिए,

पंचक के प्रकार

1. रोग पंचक
रविवार को शुरू होने वाला पंचक रोग पंचक कहलाता है। इसके प्रभाव से ये पांच दिन शारीरिक और मानसिक परेशानियों वाले होते हैं। इस पंचक में किसी भी तरह के शुभ कार्य नहीं करने चाहिए। हर तरह के मांगलिक कार्यों में ये पंचक अशुभ माना गया है।

2. राज पंचक
सोमवार को शुरू होने वाला पंचक राज पंचक कहलाता है। ये पंचक शुभ माना जाता है। इसके प्रभाव से इन पांच दिनों में सरकारी कामों में सफलता मिलती है। राज पंचक में संपत्ति से जुड़े काम करना भी शुभ रहता है।

3. अग्नि पंचक
मंगलवार को शुरू होने वाला पंचक अग्नि पंचक कहलाता है। इन पांच दिनों में कोर्ट कचहरी और विवाद आदि के फैसले, अपना हक प्राप्त करने वाले काम किए जा सकते हैं। इस पंचक में अग्नि का भय होता है। इस पंचक में किसी भी तरह का निर्माण कार्य, औजार और मशीनरी कामों की शुरुआत करना अशुभ माना गया है। इनसे नुकसान हो सकता है।

4. मृत्यु पंचक
शनिवार को शुरू होने वाला पंचक मृत्यु पंचक कहलाता है। नाम से ही पता चलता है कि अशुभ दिन से शुरू होने वाला ये पंचक मृत्यु के बराबर परेशानी देने वाला होता है। इन पांच दिनों में किसी भी तरह के जोखिम भरे काम नहीं करना चाहिए। इसके प्रभाव से विवाद, चोट, दुर्घटना आदि होने का खतरा रहता है।

5. चोर पंचक
शुक्रवार को शुरू होने वाला पंचक चोर पंचक कहलाता है। विद्वानों के अनुसार इस पंचक में यात्रा करने की मनाही है। इस पंचक में लेन-देन, व्यापार और किसी भी तरह के सौदे भी नहीं करने चाहिए। मना किए गए कार्य करने से धन हानि हो सकती है।

6. इसके अलावा बुधवार और गुरुवार को शुरू होने वाले पंचक में ऊपर दी गई बातों का पालन करना जरूरी नहीं माना गया है। इन दो दिनों में शुरू होने वाले दिनों में पंचक के पांच कामों के अलावा किसी भी तरह के शुभ काम किए जा सकते हैं।

पंचक में न करें ये 5 काम
1. पंचक में चारपाई बनवाना अच्छा नहीं माना जाता। विद्वानों के अनुसार ऐसा करने से कोई बड़ा संकट खड़ा हो सकता है।
2. पंचक के दौरान जिस समय घनिष्ठा नक्षत्र हो उस समय घास, लकड़ी आदि जलने वाली वस्तुएं इकट्ठी नहीं करना चाहिए, इससे आग लगने का भय रहता है।
3. पंचक के दौरान दक्षिण दिशा में यात्रा नही करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि दक्षिण दिशा, यम की दिशा मानी गई है। इन नक्षत्रों में दक्षिण दिशा की यात्रा करना हानिकारक माना गया है।
4. पंचक के दौरान जब रेवती नक्षत्र चल रहा हो, उस समय घर की छत नहीं बनाना चाहिए, ऐसा विद्वानों का कहना है। इससे धन हानि और घर में क्लेश होता है।
5. पंचक में शव का अंतिम संस्कार करने से पहले किसी योग्य पंडित की सलाह अवश्य लेनी चाहिए। यदि ऐसा न हो पाए तो शव के साथ पांच पुतले आटे या कुश (एक प्रकार की घास) से बनाकर अर्थी पर रखना चाहिए और इन पांचों का भी शव की तरह पूर्ण विधि-विधान से अंतिम संस्कार करना चाहिए, तो पंचक दोष समाप्त हो जाता है

मुहूर्त चिंतामणि ग्रंथ के अनुसार पंचक के नक्षत्रों का शुभ फल

1. घनिष्ठा और शतभिषा नक्षत्र चल संज्ञक माने जाते हैं। इनमें चलित काम करना शुभ माना गया है जैसे- यात्रा करना, वाहन खरीदना, मशीनरी संबंधित काम शुरू करना शुभ माना गया है।
2. उत्तराभाद्रपद नक्षत्र स्थिर संज्ञक नक्षत्र माना गया है। इसमें स्थिरता वाले काम करने चाहिए जैसे- बीज बोना, गृह प्रवेश, शांति पूजन और जमीन से जुड़े स्थिर कार्य करने में सफलता मिलती है।
3. रेवती नक्षत्र मैत्री संज्ञक होने से इस नक्षत्र में कपड़े, व्यापार से संबंधित सौदे करना, किसी विवाद का निपटारा करना, गहने खरीदना आदि काम शुभ माने गए हैं।

ऐसा होता है पंचक के नक्षत्रों का अशुभ प्रभाव
1. धनिष्ठा नक्षत्र में आग लगने का भय रहता है।
2. शतभिषा नक्षत्र में वाद-विवाद होने के योग बनते हैं।
3. पूर्वाभाद्रपद रोग कारक नक्षत्र है यानी इस नक्षत्र में बीमारी होने की संभावना सबसे अधिक होती है।
4. उत्तरा भाद्रपद में धन हानि के योग बनते हैं।
5. रेवती नक्षत्र में नुकसान व मानसिक तनाव होने की संभावना होती है।

3. During the Quintet, travel should not be done in the south direction, because the direction of the south direction, Yama has been considered. Traveling south direction in these constellations is considered to be harmful.
